We are pleased to announce the WSC 2014 Golf Tournament which will be held at the conference hotel’s award-winning golf course (www.theclubatsavannahharbor.net) on Saturday, December 6, 2014, with tee times starting at 9:30 am.
Attendees and their spouses are invited to play. The format of the tournament will be 4-Person Scramble. In this format, teams of four players compete against one another. Each team's players hit from the teebox, then the team members choose the best of the four shots for the next shot. All team members then play the second shot from that location, and again choose the best shot. Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed. The team then records its score and maintains that format for all 18 holes.
The cost to play in this tournament is $85 per person, paid in advance. Included in this price are greens fees, cart with GPS, practice balls, and prize fees. This price does not include food and beverages, which you can purchase separately from the golf shop. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams and to the individual winners of the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. You can bring your own clubs or rent clubs from the golf shop. Rental clubs (including 6 golf balls) will cost an additional $50 plus tax, paid to the golf shop on the day of the tournament.
Players of any skill level are welcome to play in the tournament. In order to balance the teams, we ask participants to estimate their handicap in the entry form below. Note that handicaps will not be used to calculate scores during the tournament; actual team scores will be used. Players can request to play on a specific team, or let the tournament organizers assign them to a team.
November 1st Registration Deadline
If you wish to play in the tournament, please fill out the attached entry form and mail it with your check to the indicated address by November 1st, 2014. Don’t delay, because the number of tee times is limited and spots in the tournament will be granted on a first- come, first-serve basis.

We are looking for volunteers in the following areas:
– Attendees willing to help organize the tournament
– Companies willing to donate prizes

Upon receipt, players will receive an email acknowledging their entry form. No refunds will be provided unless a substitute player is found or the event is cancelled. Additional instructions will be emailed to players in November.
